Yesterday and today, I found myself sitting on the office floor doing some crafts for the bay decor competition that my department seriously wants to win (because ten thousand bucks can buy us many scoops of gelato, dontchaknow). I realized two things:
- I’m getting old – my back aches after 30 minutes of floor-sitting.
- You can never trust me to roll a joint or a ciggy – I promise you, the stuff will fall out of the wrapper.
It’s slow-going for now, but everything’s starting to look good. The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division tarp is up, the holding cell has been set up (with caution tape and signs), the lights are coming together. I’m excited to go into our work area because I get to swipe my ID next to a sign that says “Level 7 Clearance”. We have a Maria Hill, a Nick Fury, a MELINDA MAY. Oh, and did I mention that we have a HULK?
We are SO going to rock September 18–around a week before the Agents of SHIELD series will premiere.
As Monique (previously seen on this blog dressed as Supergirl) put it–“Losing is not an option”. I’m pretty sure we’ll die if we don’t win.
…oh god, I hope we win.
